CIOs facing tsunami of disruptive technologies over the next three years

As identified by technology company executives in KPMG’s tech innovation survey, CIOs are facing a tsunami of converging technologies: cloud, Internet of Things, mobile, and data and analytics, with robots, artificial intelligence and cognitive computing all coming into play. 

And while virtually every sector will be affected by these emerging technologies, CIOs in technology, healthcare, consumer markets/retail and telecommunications may face the greatest transformation.

Despite the challenges CIOs face, the benefits of embracing new technologies can be many. The most successful businesses will be those that can most effectively prioritize, and implement emerging technology opportunities as part of their overall company strategy.
