From the Financial Reporting View and the IFRS Institute

The July 2013, Issue 14 of KPMG ISG's IFRS Newsletter: Financial Instruments - The Future of IFRS Financial Instruments Accounting summarizes the July IASB meeting at which the Board discussed:

Classification and Measurement. The IASB tentatively decided to allow early adoption of the own credit requirements in IFRS 9, Financial Instruments, and to defer the effective date of IFRS 9 from January 1, 2015 to an unspecified date. The IASB also discussed its plan for joint redeliberations with the FASB.

Impairment. The IASB considered the feedback received on its Exposure Draft about expected credit losses, i.e., impairment.

Macro Hedge Accounting. The IASB discussed its forthcoming discussion paper, which will consider the alternative of presenting the revaluation effect from dynamic risk management in other comprehensive income rather than through profit and loss, and the disclosures that may be required.
