FASB and PCC Propose to Eliminate Effective Dates for Private Company Alternatives

This edition of Defining Issues reports that the FASB recently proposed to eliminate the effective dates for four private company accounting alternatives developed by the Private Company Council (PCC). The proposal would allow a private company to elect the alternatives at any time without assessing preferability. The comment period ends November 16, 2015.
