From the Financial Reporting Network

The SEC and the FDIC jointly proposed a rule, Covered Broker-Dealer Provisions under Title II of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, to comply with Title II of the Dodd-Frank Act. Title II provides an alternative insolvency regime for the orderly liquidation of large financial companies that meet specified criteria. The proposal would implement the provisions of Title II that apply to the orderly liquidation of covered brokers and dealers.

Comments on the proposal are due 60 days after it is published in the Federal Register.
