KPMG’s Global Network for Innovative Startups is pleased to announce the inaugural edition of the ‘KPMG and CB Insights Venture Pulse Report’ – the first in a quarterly series designed to bring cutting edge information and analysis of key trends related to the state of venture capital investment globally.
According to our report, Venture capital (VC)-backed companies raised more than US$32 billion in Q2 2015 across 1,819 deals, bringing the total raised by VC-backed companies globally to a staggering $59.8 billion for the first half of 2015. The surge in funding in Q2 represents a 49% increase over the first two quarters of 2014.
