How recent guidance impacts state child support enforcement programs

Jun 30, 2017
From the Government Institute

This issue brief summarizes the final rule for significant technological and programmatic updates to state-administered child support enforcement program operations and provides considerations for states when assessing the impact these changes will necessitate with respect to their child support system modernization plans and operations.

Regardless of how efficiently a state already runs its child support enforcement program and the status of a state's system modernization or replacement plans, the scope of change brought about by this final rule will require all to be cognizant of the new requirements and plan for their timely inclusion into child support enforcement operations.
