As the healthcare and life sciences industry transitions from volume to value, all entities are going to be held accountable for outcomes. One development that contributes to that transition is the rise of Medicare Advantage (MA) plans. To assist all three industry sectors evaluate the relative viability of these plans, KPMG and Strategic Health Partners conducted a study on Medicare Advantage Strategies. To be released in its entirety in January 2015, the study will identify: what consumer behaviors health plans should consider as they structure and market MA plans; how pharmaceutical companies can influence consumer pharmacy preferences; and the advantages for providers joining MA networks.
