From the Healthcare & Life Sciences Institute
Let’s be honest: most of us are drowning in data. By some estimates, more data has been generated in the past two years than in the entire history of mankind. The fact that most people are struggling with their data is not surprising. At the same time, the value of the data has also dramatically increased as new analytic capabilities emerge to take advantage of the various data sources that have become available.
Yet our experience suggests that few—if any—healthcare providers have managed to take advantage of these new technologies and approaches to help drive real and transformational improvements in their revenue cycle. Most cannot easily access the right data to identify the areas in which to make the operational improvement they need to improve financial outcomes.
