From the Advice Worth Keeping podcast series
Hosted by Stan Lepeak, Global Research Director,
KPMG LLP Management Consulting

Artificial intelligence (AI) has been talked about, thought about, fretted about, planned about, and experimented about. And in 2018, its use cases will finally hit the mainstream and start delivering real, strategic benefits.

True that your business’ use of AI might not be as ground-breaking as leveraging IBM Watson to work on treatment cures or drug discovery. But it’s a good bet that it will move from a tactical, one-off application to a strategic enabler, particularly of customer-related activities and predictive and prescriptive analytics-based insights. And if it isn’t, it can and it should.

In this podcast, Cliff Justice, a KPMG principal focused on leading-edge digital technologies, sat down with Stan Lepeak to discuss:

  • The factors that are finally allowing AI to support strategic goals and objectives – think exponential advancements in technologies and real, deep machine learning in a data lake
  • Why transformative decisions around AI must be driven from the strategic top of your business
  • How to determine a good business case that can positively influence both your top and bottom lines.
