The KPMG Government Institute and partners and professionals of KPMG LLP invite you to join us for a Webcast discussing implementation of the FASB’s revenue recognition standard by not-for-profit entities (NFPs) and the forthcoming proposed standard clarifying the accounting for grants received and made.

Not-for-Profit Entities Revenue Recognition, to be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EDT, will cover the following:

  • Overview of the FASB’s revenue recognition standard, ASU 2014-09, Revenue from Contracts with Customers (Topic 606), which will be effective soon. The Webcast will include an overview of the standard and provide some implementation considerations for NFPs.
  • Overview of the FASB’s new proposed standard clarifying the scope and the accounting guidance for contributions received and contributions made, which we anticipate will be released at the end of July. The proposal will provide guidance to help NFPs determine whether grants should be accounted for as contributions or exchange transactions.

The presenters for this Webcast are Mandy Nelson, Partner, Anne McGuinness, Managing Director, and John Barbagallo, Managing Director from KPMG's Audit Quality and Professional Practice Group (AQPPG).
