The management of outsourcing begins with transition. The transition phase represents the start of governance efforts and the time when outsourcing and its objectives are realized.
Unfortunately, transition efforts appear to be inherently difficult and some amount of dissatisfaction and disappointment seems inevitable.
Transition projects seem to be about minimizing problems and accelerating the transition efforts as much as possible instead of realizing the high expectation. What does this mean for the relationship between a buyer and their service provider?
