Event Overview

While the attention of much of the tax world is riveted on potential federal tax reform, state legislatures are dutifully going about their business. At this point in time, the 2017 state legislative sessions have either started or are about to convene in nearly every state. As usual, there are a number of proposed bills that would affect business taxpayers, including corporate income tax legislation that would implement tax rate, tax base, and apportionment changes. On the sales and use tax side, there are a number of proposals aimed at online retailers. And in Delaware, recently enacted legislation makes significant revisions to the state’s unclaimed property regime. Please join professionals from KPMG’s State and Local Tax Practice as they discuss these and more pending state tax legislative proposals.
