The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue recently announced that it will be mailing non-participation penalty assessments to delinquent taxpayers that failed to participate in the Commonwealth’s 2017 tax amnesty program. Recall, this program ran from April 21, 2017 through June 19, 2017. Specifically, taxpayers that were eligible to participate, but failed to do so, will be assessed a five percent nonparticipation penalty. Reportedly, 44,000 taxpayers will be receiving penalty assessments. Please contact Howard Sklaroff at 267-256-2891 with questions.
